Levison Meltzer Pigott is once again, recognised in The Times’ list of the best 200 law firms; commended for the Family category. Each of the firms in this prestigious list has been commended by its peers in other law firms.
This is what is said about the firm:
“Levison Meltzer Pigott was one of the UK’s first firms to specialise solely in family law. It works on some of the most complex divorce cases involving international jurisdictions, wealthy or prominent individuals and complicated trust structures.
In an important test case this year, LMP represented a City broker who has challenged what he considers an overgenerous settlement to his former wife by an arbitrator. His case was dismissed by the High Court in February, but was heard by the Court of Appeal in July. The judgment, which has not yet been made, is expected to give guidance on the interaction between arbitration awards and the discretion of the family courts.”
The research was carried out by Statista, an international market research firm, which asked solicitors in England and Wales to recommend the best law firms in any of 26 categories covering business, public and private-client fields. To make sure that the survey was fair, respondents were not allowed to choose their own law firm and technology and other scrutiny was put in place to prevent anyone from voting more than once. Those with the most votes from 4,619 respondents made it into The Times Best Law Firms 2021. The full list of 200 firms was published in today’s Times and the full results of can be accessed online here, by those who have a subscription.
