LMP supports Family Mediation Week 2026

Organised by the Family Mediation Council (FMC), Family Mediation Week (26 – 30 January 2026) is an opportunity to raise awareness of family mediation and its benefits to separating families.

LMP’s Managing Partner, Simon Pigott, who has been at the forefront of family mediation for 37 years, is in full support of Family Mediation Week:

“LMP has long recognised the benefits of Non Court Dispute Resolution (NCDR) and opportunities to resolve family disputes out of Court. As one of the first cohort of lawyers to complete family mediation training, I am heartened to see that Family Mediation Week has become firmly established in the legal calendar. The LMP team will continue to champion mediation and other forms of NCDR as a positive alternative to litigation.”

LMP Partner Miranda Green, who is also a trained family mediator, agrees:” Mediation is a discipline of increasing importance to both family law and LMP. We applaud the goals of the FMC campaign to ‘let more people know about the benefits of family mediation and encourage separating couples to think about family mediation as a way of helping them take control, make decisions together and build a positive future for their family.’”

The LMP website shares information about mediation, collaborative practice, arbitration, private hearings and round table meetings

LMP expands team with solicitor Alex Bartlett and office manager Natasha Maynard.

We are pleased to start the new year with two new team additions to Levison Meltzer Pigott (LMP).

Solicitor Alex Bartlett joins from specialist family law firm Jones Nickolds and Natasha Maynard has taken up the mantle of managing the firm’s administration from a previous career in immigration enforcement and working for the Met police.

LMP founding partner Simon Pigott welcomes both Alex and Natasha to the team:

“We are delighted to start 2026 with two new team members.

We welcome Alex who has chosen to further his career as a family law specialist with LMP.  We remain committed to being a boutique family law firm and so recognise that recruitment at Alex’s level is so very important for the future of the firm. If selected wisely, and we take this very seriously, today’s legal recruits, will potentially be the LMP partners of tomorrow.
We also welcome Natasha to the firm as she pivots her career to apply her skills and experience to take on this important administrative role. LMP’s success is about the whole team and we only function as we do with the stalwart collaboration of all our supporting colleagues.

We wish both Alex and Natasha a very long and successful career with LMP.”
