“Small but perfectly formed” LMP once again ranked in Tier 2 of the Legal 500 for Family and Family Mediation

The Legal 500, the annual legal research directory, has just published its 2023 guide and the boutique family law firm Levison Meltzer Pigott (LMP) is ranked once again in the second highest banding for both Family and Family Mediation.

Simon Pigott and Jeremy Levison continue to be listed in the elite ‘Hall of Fame’ whilst partners Kate Stovold and Ben Stowe are once again recognised as ‘Next Generation Partners’. “Unmatched” Alison Hayes is also recommended in the editorial.

LMP is described as “a small but perfectly formed niche boutique team specialising in family law. In Simon Pigott and Jeremy Levison, the firm has two of the most experienced, respected and well liked family solicitors in London. They provide the firm with leadership and example and still attract a range of very high profile and interesting cases.”

Another source comments that “LMP delivers a stellar service and is particularly good at taking on ‘high risk’ clients – i.e. those with a difficult case to run or for whom funding is often tied up in the assets they are seeking to gain.”

Managing Partner Simon Pigott says of the testimonials:

“It is a credit to the whole team at LMP that the firm is once again, and in its 25th year, ranked in the Legal 500 and with such positive feedback. The partners are assisted by a hardworking and diligent team of lawyers and support staff. Everyone plays their part.”

LMP’s “exceptional team” is considered “heavyweights in the financial remedies arena” with the “simply phenomenal” Simon Pigott at the helm who works on the “hardest of cases and trickiest of clients with skill”. “A relatively small team commands huge respect in the sector” and “every member is extremely on top of figures and papers, thorough.”

Simon continues: “the success of the firm continues to be driven by my fellow partners, each of them contributing their different personalities and styles, but all with a focus on client care and delivery of excellent results.”

“Jeremy Levison remains one of the biggest names in the industry with decades of experience. He has a knack for predicting outcomes and has the strategic prowess of a chess grandmaster.”

“Alison Hayes has seen it all and strategises excellently.”

“Kate Stovold has the full skill set. Her client handling is perfect. Her letter writing is the best – perfectly pitched and phrased. Her judgement calls are spot on.” “A pleasure to work with, exceptionally thorough.”

“Ben Stowe is calm under pressure, extremely empathetic, with excellent judgment, he is going places and is one to watch in our industry.” “I would want him representing me.”

In addition, LMP and partner Simon Pigott are recognised by Legal 500 for Family Mediation. Simon is “one of London’s best mediators and has a first-class reputation and achieves very good results. He has all the personal qualities needed to mediate complex family cases.”
